Packwood, Washington Cabin Elopement

This Packwood, Washington cabin elopement turned out PERFECTLY.

We started the day with a cozy fire in this cute A-frame cabin while A + J wrote their vows to each other. Once they were both dressed I set them up for a first look in the woods nearby. Even though A + J were having a less than traditional wedding, they still wanted to incorporate a first look so they could really cherish the lead up to their vows and soak it all in together. The way J looks at A is more than any words can say.

The back patio of the cabin overlooks views of the river and nearby foothills leading to larger and larger mountains. The rushing water and wind through the pines made the perfect setting for them to say “I do” and celebrate becoming Mr. and Mrs.. A+J are childhood sweethearts who decided that a small and intimate wedding was perfect for them. Listening to their story as they exchanged vows it was clear that they have been together through thick and thin which made watching their vow exchange even more special.

After their ceremony we adventured into Gifford Pinchot National Forest to explore the trails and find some amazing river and mountain views. We explored the river bed and enjoyed the mountain views. We even found an animal footprint which I think might have belonged to a small bear! Fortunately we didn’t come across any wildlife but it was really cool to see evidence of recent animals passing through.

We ended our day by heading back into Packwood and hanging out at Packwood Brewing Co. for some yummy food and drinks. They still had their prickly pear cider which was absolutely delicious!
