This wedding was so fun and laid back! Joni and Bob have been together for 20 years after meeting in Georgia at a golf tournament. They moved in together over 12 years ago and decided to finally tie the knot on March 9, 2019. Joni says that what really sparked her interest in Bob was his amazing English accent! Together they love spending time watching movies and maintaining their garden.
Joni’s vision for her wedding was a casual evening full of love, family, and friends at her home in Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. The ceremony took place on her screened in lanai, a backdrop of gauzy white fabric and foliage was set up by Joni herself and candle lit water lanterns floated around her pool. Italian style string lights hung across the screened enclosure completing the setting. On the way out of the house to the ceremony guests were given champagne (or sparkling juice) and everyone lined up around the pool. Joni and Bob are dog lovers so of course they included their sweet great dane, Lilly. Joni’s son, Ryan, stood by his mother along with her sister, Jayne, while Bob’s grandson, Daniel, stood with the groom. Officiating the wedding was Joni’s long time best friend, Lisa. After the ceremony guests were invited to take seats, mingle with drinks, and eat dinner provided by Maggiano’s.
Needless to say this was a night to remember and I am so happy to have been able to capture some awesome memories for this sweet couple!
