This Ponte Vedra wedding was a year (at least!) in the making and it turned out to be gorgeous! This was also my first time shooting at this venue and I loved how cozy it felt. The bride’s suite even had a fireplace in it which was perfect for the rare Florida cold snap we experienced! Our day started with Christine getting ready with the help of her bridesmaids and mom, I also captured some fun details of the rings and Christine’s accessories. Her mom made the starfish clutch just for Christine’s wedding day! It went perfectly with the theme of the day.
When we went out for our first look the weather turned back to gray and cold and VERY WINDY but the couple stuck it out and we captured some adorable photos of their first time seeing each other. Unlike most first looks where we usually follow up with bride and groom portraits, we chose to get the family photos and bridal party photos out of the way. This turned out to be a very good decision because the weather only got worse from that point on. That’s Florida for you! Despite the weather the venue managed to pull together an inside option for the ceremony and I was still able to take Christine and Eddie outside during a brief intermission of the heavy winds and get some great portraits.
The reception was tons of fun and there was even a milkshake bar later on in the evening. I had so much fun capturing all of the guests partying it up with the new Mr. and Mrs. Carter!
